Desk Yoga

Via Zoom or MS Teams, Desk Yoga is an adapted form of yoga enabling participants to practice in a regular chair. The class is delivered online making it ideal for the workplace and for individuals working from home. The classes are suitable for everyone and no yoga experience is necessary.

The classes include breathing exercises, asanas (yoga postures and movements), self-massage, relaxation techniques and meditation. They can be adapted for people with certain physical ailments and those with physical disabilities.

The classes are typically 45 minutes or 1 hour with no specific rules as to the number of attendees. A reminder sheet of the exercises is available after the session to download.

Mindfulness

Via Zoom or MS Teams , these sessions encourage you to stop, be quiet and calm and raise awareness of your senses. A typical session will include:

  • A desk yoga sequence
  • Mindful eating
  • Mindful breathing
  • Mindful listening

The Benefits of Mindfulness

  • Calms the mind
  • Gives us positive control of our emotions
  • Heightens our experiences
  • Improves our relationships
  • Physically (improves energy, digestion, lowers blood pressure, circulation and stress)

The sessions are around 45 – 60 minutes.

Mental Health First Aid Training

The course is available as a 2-day online course.

It is comprehensive and enables you to identifying someone experiencing poor mental health, how to approach them, to actively listen and talk non-judgmentally and to support that person.

It’s learning how to give support and time in a confidential, friendly way which allows for open discussion without fear of reprisals. It is also about your own self-care.

Support is also available from Mental Health First Aid England when you have finished your course in the form of 24/7 digital support through their App including ongoing learning opportunities.

Nutrition Workshops

Online nutrition webinars written by registered nutritionists, these are educational and interactive 45minute sessions to encourage employee health awareness and demonstrate the importance of nutrition in health. These are some of the topics covered:

Desk Yoga

A series of 6 x 15-minute desk yoga sequences to supplement the live session or as a standalone including:

  • Breathing exercises
  • Asanas (yoga postures and movements),
  • Self-massage
  • Relaxation techniques; and
  • Meditation

Unlimited use after purchase, ideal for mindfulness at the start or end of meetings, or to start the day or finish off the week.

Relaxation Sessions

Ideal for all these sessions are demonstrated both sitting and standing, emphasising the importance of grounding, breathing, and relaxation in addition to gentle stretching. This is a series of 4 x 15-minute sessions to help you unwind at the end of the day or whenever you need to walk away from your work to switch off and clear your head momentarily.

Qiki Gong

A series of different short sequences that together make up a whole Qiki Gong session of gentle movements, quietening your mind and invoking feelings of restfulness and calm. All sequences are inclusive and demonstrated standing or in a seated position.

Ideal for improving both physical and mental health wellbeing.
