Reflexology

Reflexology is a therapy where pressure is applied to the feet, ears, or hands to relieve pain and stress as the reflex points correspond to different organs in our bodies. It is said to improve circulation and restores the body’s natural balance. Why not try our 15-20 minute reflexology sessions at work, just lie back and let the therapist squeeze out tension and manipulate those toes, arches and soles. Much the same as our seated massage, it helps instil feelings of calm, relaxation and sets you up for the rest of the day. All we need from you is a small meeting room or quiet area in which to set up the reflexology chair.

Couch Massage

Why not treat your staff to a couch massage, with fragrant oils to enhance feelings of relaxation and wellbeing. Good for teasing out tension and stretching muscles which have been hunched over a computer or where you’ve been on your feet all day or doing repetitive movements.

It may sound like an indulgence, but even 20 minutes on the couch helps encourage movement which is vital to good physical health.
All we need is a room in which to set up the couch. If there are glass panes in the door, just sheets of paper to cover those up will ensure privacy.

Yoga

The key to success in any organisation begins with a happy, healthy and motivated workforce.

It’s time to enjoy yoga in your workplace and give your team a boost!

Why have regular yoga classes in your workplace?

Relieves work-related aches and pains by bringing movement, strength and stretching into tense and underused muscles, sore backs and shoulders

Improves productivity, memory and concentration by bringing awareness to the body and breath, giving the mind a rest from work-related thoughts

Reduces stress-related illnesses and absenteeism and develops loyalty towards the organisation

Develops a sense of team between employees, improving workplace relationships.

The classes are typically 45 minutes or 1 hour. The size of the class will depend on how much space you have available for the yoga mats; just let us know.

Alternatively, you may wish to have some seated yoga if space is limited. Otherwise known as Desk Yoga, the teacher will take you through simple stretches and exercises you can do at your desk during the day to continue the benefits of the class.

You’ll be practicing yoga in the workplace in no time – getting ready to return to work chilled and energised for the rest of the day!

Pilates

We are currently offering workplace Pilates across Worcestershire, West Midlands, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire but please contact us to see if it is now being offered in your region.

Why Pilates?

Pilates is for everyone, and the benefits can be felt after just one class.  It is a safe low impact form of exercise, which can be regressed or progressed depending on ability.

It also:

  • Assists in relieving pain and discomfort caused by poor posture.
  • Teaches you to breath more effectively, which as a result helps with better core engagement. The breath can be used to help assist movement or used to add resistance to create challenge.
  • Strengthens the core, increases flexibility, improves posture and alignment, gives great body awareness, and promotes mindfulness, improves body sleep.
  • It can highlight weakness and unhelpful habits within the body which in time may lead to injury or cause degeneration.
  • It encourages better movement overall, which in turn reduces risk of injury.

All the above encourages better health which means less sickness, a better frame of mind and a positive outlook.

The classes are typically 45 minutes or 1 hour. The size of the class will depend on how much space you have available; just let us know.

Laughter Yoga

People are always curious (and safe to say some are a little nervous) as to what a Laughter Yoga session is all about!

What is it?

A brilliant group exercise where everyone ends up laughing, giving you that feel good factor, at the same time as reducing stress levels and taking your mind off anything that may be worrying you.

Don’t be put off by the word ‘yoga’ if you think that yoga is not for you. The class is a combination of breathing and laughter exercises sending lots of oxygen to your brain and throughout your body releasing endorphins which are the body’s natural painkillers, lowering cortisol levels leaving you feeling alive and happy. It is great fun at the same time as bringing great benefits to your emotional and physical wellbeing. All this is happening as you have a good old belly laugh.

Who is it for?

Mostly everyone. There are some people who may not be able to take part for medical reasons but a questionnaire beforehand will clarify this. Otherwise, it doesn’t matter what your mobility, you can join in whether that is standing, jumping, dancing or seated in a chair, you will still reap the benefits.

What are the benefits?

It is a great team building activity, once initial inhibitions are unleashed, it is a great leveller and for breaking down barriers.

Laughter yoga workshops are incredible for improving and elevating the mental health and wellbeing of your employees. By the end of a session your employees feel more motivated, focused, alert, creative and connected as a team.

What we need from you

All we need is a space large enough for a group of people to stand and move around as they would in an exercise or dance class, or if the weather is kind, it is a great activity to do outdoors.

Qiki Gong

It is pronounced “Cheeky Gong” and will leave you floating on air!

A fusion of Qigong and Reiki, the instructors take you through gentle dance-like exercises as you concentrate on your breath, mind and body. It is brilliant for improving co-ordination, balance and mindfulness.

You don’t have to be able to stand on one leg for ages, or hold poses, it is genuinely a series of gentle, free flowing movements for everyone. If you have limited mobility, you can still join in whilst seated.
