16 Sep Return to work with wellbeing
It seems businesses are eager to settle into their post-pandemic way of working and to find ways of saying thank you to their employees for their resilience over the past 18 months.
We have received several requests to visit workplaces to provide our hugely popular seated back neck and shoulder massages together with other wellbeing services to entice staff to return to the office.
Here are some of the inventive ideas our clients have put together.
Massage Mondays
What better way to start the week than with a seated back neck and shoulder massage?
We’ll give you a good ol’ pummelling on those muscles, we’ll stretch you out, you’ll feel fantastic, and then we’ll send you back to work feeling refreshed and happy.
If that sounds a bit too energetic, choose a relaxing Indian head massage, release tension in your upper back, neck and shoulders and feel the tightness of your scalp melt away under the gentle pulling, squeezing, and circular motion of the therapist’s fingers leaving you feeling relaxed and calm.
Wellness Wednesdays
So much to choose from! How about getting your team together to practice a session of mindfulness or desk yoga. Doesn’t matter if they are still working remotely or back in the office, these workshops are for everyone. Take time to sit quietly and be guided by our therapist taking you through some mindful breathing and exercises or simple yoga techniques which you can do at your desk and continue to do in your own time.
We always encourage people to take breaks during the day and get up* and move around. Movement is so important and it is so easy to forget to do this.
One way of encouraging everyone to get up is to take part in some Qiki Gong (pronounced Cheeky Gong). Let Ruth and Alan guide you through gentle meditative movements encouraging you to let go, be calm, and ‘play’ with the different sequences.
*Qiki Gong is also suitable for those who would find it difficult to stand and so the different movements are also demonstrated from a seated position. You are still moving which is the important thing.
Feel Good Fridays
How about ending the week on a high with an energetic Laughter Yoga session. After all, laughter, is as the saying goes, the best medicine and it is great exercise too. Your brain cannot distinguish between genuine and fake laughter. So, even if you feel a little self-conscious to start with, you will soon be genuinely laughing so hard with everyone else. These are great sessions to get everyone together and having a good time. Scream and shout with good cause, reduce your stress, and release those feel-good endorphins.
Shall we have a chat about what would work best for you?
